[edit]GoreArchives is the user name for a small group of archivists involved in collecting and preserving the history of W. L. Gore and Associates. This team collects images, documents, books, brochures and product samples related to Gore’s past and present. We plan to make major edits and corrections to this article in the near future, in order to correct and expand upon the biography of Bill Gore. One item in particular that will be changed is the removal of a reference to Bill Gore's membership in the Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Gore was not a member of the LDS church, as confirmed by a close family member. As archivists, it is our goal to provide the most accurate information about W.L. Gore & Associates, its history, culture, founders, and products. Revisions to this article by GoreArchives will strive to be balanced and objective.GoreArchives (talk) 19:15, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Personal life - offspring
[edit]This section says "Bill and his wife had five children, two sons, Robert W. and Jimmy W and one grandson Jimmy Michael Gore., and three daughters, Susan, Elizabeth and Virginia." however, an obit for Bill Gore's wife https://azdailysun.com/w-l-gore-co-founder-dies-at-91/article_ee9835e9-024f-5e2b-8c98-badbe2cfb448.html says "She is survived by her five children, Robert Gore of Newark, Del., and his wife, Sally; Susan Gore of Cheyenne, Wyo.,; Ginger Giovale of Flagstaff, and her husband, John; David Gore of Corvallis, Ore., and his wife, Cecilia; and Elizabeth Snyder of Greenville, Del.; sister".
Did Jimmy W change his name to David, or is one of these sources in error? Mindfill (talk) 09:15, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Mindfill: I reverted the 2021 unsourced edit that changed "David" to "Jimmy W". GoingBatty (talk) 13:59, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks. It is now consistent with https://www.corvallisadvocate.com/2020/corvallis-man-revealed-as-tea-partys-newest-big-donor/ Mindfill (talk) 00:23, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
